Smriti Mandhana was Born on 18th July 1996 in Maharashtra, She had a passion for cricket from an early age and was supported by her family. She completed her basic education at Mumbai’s Shardashram Vidyamandir School and went on to attend Seth GS Medical College, also in Mumbai.

Smriti Mandhana made her T20I debut in April 2013, against Bangladesh. She was awarded the title of ‘Rising Star of the Year’ by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2018, after her consistent performance in the Women’s World Cup. She scored 669 runs in 13 matches, at an average of 66.90, and was the highest scorer in the tournament.

Smriti Mandhana was signed up by the Brisbane Heat for the WBBL in 2018, becoming the first Indian cricketer to do so. She was also the player of the match in the 2018-19 Kia Super League final against Western Storm where she scored an unbeaten century.

In the 2019 ODI World Cup final, Mandhana scored a crucial 90 runs off just 72 balls and was instrumental in India’s victory. She carried her form into the 2020 T20 World Cup too and was the tournament’s leading run scorer with 359 runs from six innings.
